Pink-nailed toes scrunching on a pink carpet a packet of false eyelashes piles of chips in a Vegas casino the pills. In the photos you will see my new Schindlers the Matsudas that led to me getting the Schinders for my birthday the Linda Farrows found entirely by mistake and my Jax, which I never shared with you, but this is a JMM thread, so I am including regardless. The devil is in the details. It has given me a much needed escape and some smiles where I hadn’t found one in a while. Trying out new styles is because of you, and it has been so good for me. But really, I don’t care, I am just so thankful to you all as I am enjoying eyewear more than ever, all frames big or small intrigue me, and I would be remiss if I neglected to thank you all, you who have instilled in me a stronger spirit of adventure in trying new styles. Seriously, a year ago I’d never have had the confidence to try these, no way, no how! Now some of you may not like these, and some of my confidence may be an outgrowth of my drug induced weight gain, making my noggin bigger and better able to accommodate larger frames, as the doctors are trying hard to beef me up so that I survive the surgery. I was giving them a try, but not expecting much in return. The design and measurements of their frame are just about spot on throughout, I wanted to try the Enzos out as an optical with my newly discovered fondness for large frames. Enter Linda Farrow, a company established in the 1970’s, now run by Ms. I figured that if I could save a few $$$ I would like to. The best part of my eyewear story is the acknowledgement that cancer is terribly expensive. Now, the Matsuda search yielded a pair of Enzo like frames from Linda Farrow, that are made entirely of Japanese acetates, Japanese titanium, 22 k gold plating and detailing, carved and made by hand in Japan for only $166.00 US dollars! i checked and found the company to be reputable, and Enzo was next on my shopping list!

That, apparently, gave some lovely friends the “A O’kay” to buy me a birthday present in the form of eyewear, and better than that, they selected the Schindlers by JMM! Turns out, I really like them. it was different, and I wanted different, so I ordered the frame and it was in my hands three days later. It was a Matsuda, which I generally like, so once at my home office, I ran a search on this frame, and got about 65% off.

My neighbors loved them on me, I hadn’t purchased a frame since before this entire cancer thing broke open, so I asked the price, and it was in JMM territory.

I tried on an intriguing frame inside that tray that was cat-eye meets Rayban, but with some nice beveling and very nice exposed temple pieces and gold stamping. While she tried on frames, a tray shown to someone else ended up in front of me. I had actually planned out the walk to try to buy a neighbor new frames because hers are so awfully dated. So, I went on a long walk with my neighbors, and we ended up at a mall named Fashion Island. I had asked for NO birthday gifts until I got through surgery, so as not to needlessly put anyone out should I not survive. So, I wrote a few weeks back about the gift of Schindlers that was given to me for my birthday.
